The Obstetrics Clinic, opened in December 2009, has the most modern, state-of-the-art equipment for Labour and Childbirth. The addition of this Clinic to the Hospital is strategically beneficial as it expands Saint Marina’s ability to offer holistic healthcare services over the lifetime of female patients. It also increases the surgical capacity of the Hospital.

Our aim is to provide a quality service that is designed to meet the individual needs of all women throughout their pregnancy, birth and the early days at home.

The Obstetrics Clinic is equipped to offer a complete care package throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period and to deal with both uncomplicated and complex pregnancies and deliveries.

Antenatal care

• We offer antenatal consultations, antenatal screening, tests and scans.

• A full range of ultrasound services is available.
  3D and 4D Scans

Ultrasound scans are a safe and generally non-invasive way for doctors to see inside the human body. Traditional ultrasound images are two-dimensional and are part of the usual ante-natal care programme for any birth.

3D Ultrasound scans enable you to look at the face and body of your baby in three dimensions.

A 4D fetal ultrasound scan adds the dimension of time to these images so that you get live images of the movement of the child in the womb. It is the difference between a video and a still photograph. We can provide you with a DVD and/or a photograph of the 4D ultrasound scan.

Intrapartum care

• During the labour, you will have access to the latest state-of-the-art facilities including the two Obstetric theatres, and two Critical Care units - for mums and for the newly born and a relaxing room.
  The multifunctional bed at the Delivery room allows for the ultimate comfort of the patients during the labour.

• There is 24 hours specialist neonatal and midwifery care at the Clinic.

• There is a monitoring system throughout the Clinic for a constant connection patient-midwife.

Postnatal care

Following the birth of your baby, postnatal care is provided in comfortable rooms, equipped with a television, wi-fi, telephone and refrigerator.  All meals and non-alcoholic drinks are also included in the standard package price.

There is air purification, heating, cooling and humidity control system functioning in the Hospital.
