Dr. Niya Stoencheva graduated with a Master’s degree in Medicine from the Medical University of Pleven in 2025 as the top graduate of her class. Since November 2025, she has been a resident physician in the Department of Imaging Diagnostics at UMHAT “Sveta Marina” – Pleven.

Her professional interests are focused on modern imaging techniques, with an emphasis on innovative technologies and their application in clinical practice. She actively participates in scientific congresses and trainings in the field, continuously developing her knowledge and skills.

Dr. Stoencheva is a member of the Bulgarian Association of Radiology, the European Society of Radiology, the Association of Young Hepatogastroenterologists in Bulgaria, the European Union of Medical Specialists, and the Bulgarian Medical Association. She is proficient in English.

• 21st International Scientific Conference for Students and Young Doctors (2024) – presentation on the role of artificial intelligence and new methods in breast imaging, including contrast-enhanced mammography in Bulgaria
• 8th National Congress of Young Gastroenterologists (2023), including a hands-on course in abdominal ultrasound
• 20th International Scientific Conference for Students and Young Doctors (2023) – workshop in ultrasound (POCUS – Point-of-Care Ultrasound)
• Participation in the project “Student Internships – Phase 2”

With strong motivation and a commitment to professional development, Dr. Stoencheva is establishing herself as a promising young specialist with a focus on high-tech and precision medicine.
